Reviewer Guidelines
Reviewers are central to the quality of AIScyentist. These guidelines explain what the journal asks of them.
Before Accepting an Invitation
- Accept only manuscripts within your expertise that you can review within the requested time.
- Decline if you have a conflict of interest — for example, if you recognise the authors, work at the same institution, or have a competing interest in the subject.
Conducting the Review
- Assess whether the methods are sound, whether the results support the conclusions, and whether the work is accurately placed in the existing literature.
- Check that figures, tables and references are accurate, and that the work could be reproduced from the information given.
- Write comments that are specific, constructive and actionable, and be courteous.
- Recommend one of: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.
Confidentiality
Manuscripts under review are confidential. Do not share, cite or use them, do not contact the authors, and do not upload any part of a manuscript to AI tools. Do not attempt to identify the authors.
Recognition
Reviewers may request a certificate of review from the editorial office.
