Plagiarism Policy
All submissions to AIScyentist are checked for similarity to published and online material before review.
Similarity Threshold
An overall text similarity below 15%, excluding references, is generally acceptable, provided no single source accounts for a substantial part of it. The editor reviews every similarity report in context rather than relying on the percentage alone.
Forms of Plagiarism
- Copying text, data, figures or ideas from another source without attribution.
- Self-plagiarism: reusing substantial parts of the authors' own published work without citation.
- Duplicate publication: publishing the same work in more than one journal.
- Fragmented publication: dividing one study into several minimally different papers.
Consequences
Plagiarism detected before publication leads to rejection. Plagiarism detected after publication leads to correction or retraction, in line with the Corrections, Retractions and Removal policy, and may be reported to the authors' institutions.
