Allegations of Misconduct

AIScyentist takes all allegations of research or publication misconduct seriously, and handles them following COPE guidance.

Raising a Concern

Anyone may raise a concern about a submitted or published manuscript by writing to ai@scyentist.com, stating the specific issue and providing any evidence. Concerns are investigated on their substance, regardless of who raises them.

Investigation

• The editor reviews the allegation and the evidence.
• The authors are informed of the concern and given a fair opportunity to respond.
• Where necessary, the editor seeks expert advice or refers the matter to the authors' institution.

Outcomes

Depending on the findings, outcomes may include no action, a correction, an expression of concern, rejection, or retraction. The identity of the person raising the concern is kept confidential where possible.
